Tupelo Honey est franc, direct, joyeux et mélancolique. Il démarre dans une ambiance R&B avec le hit qu'est Wild Night et se poursuit dans une atmosphère pastorale et nostalgique (Old Old Woodstock) pour se plonger dans le romantisme avec les sublimes You're A woman (un des chefs d'oeuvre de la carrière de l'irlandais) et Tupelo Honey, pur, inventif et très touchant.
