Ce regretté multi-instrumentiste de talent, simple, délicieusement romantique, introspectif, grand manieur de guitare acoustique au phrasé parfois surprenant, tantôt ménestrel, tantôt folk ou country, nous offre ici, du haut de ses 21 ans, un écrin regorgeant 10 très belles pierres précieuses.
De To The Morning à The River, Fogelberg décoche une salve généreuse de flèches d’amour et touche là où le cœur bât. Home Free est un LP incontournable, sans chichis, direct et est peut-être ce que Fogelberg a fait de plus touchant ; c’est celui par lequel il a pris son envol.
