Ce qui pêche, en fait, Dans cet album, c'est le choix des titres. John Prine, jusque-là, a toujours davantage été un songwriter, interprète de ses propres œuvres, limitant les reprises au strict minimum, alors qu'ici la moitié des titres est empruntée à d'autres.
Bien sûr, le choix des reprises n'est pas forcément mauvais comme en témoignent "This Cold War With You", ballade sentimentale de Floyd Tillman, "Baby Let's Play House", un rock qu'Elvis avait lui-même enregistré dans les studios Sun ou encore "Killing The Blues" de Rolly Salley. (sampierre)
