Les Stones nous offrent un nouveau voyage au travers des différents
visages du Rock, le tout étoffé par un petit catalogue des paradis
artificiels, que cela soit le speed ("Can't You Hear Me Knocking"),
de l'histoire d'un type allant se faire un petit fix dans la cave
pour échapper à sa copine ("Dead Flowers"), "Sister Morphine" ayant
le mérite d'annoncer clairement les choses. Mais pour en rester dans
le domaine le plus légal de cet opus, et en dehors de la
traditionnelle reprise d'un bon vieux blues du delta ("You Gotta
Move"), "Sticky Fingers" est une nouvelle démonstration des talents

My apartment manager in Hollywood was Joe D'Allesandro, once upon a time an actor in Andy Warhol movies. He is the little Joe Lou Reed sang about. He is also the crotch shot on this album cover. He said the Stone's paid Andy a ton of money for the cover photo. He also said all Warhol did was open a shoe box of old photos and he and Joe looked at a few and then settled on this one.
