Avec «Feelin 'Alright?» De Dave Mason, la plus longue chanson de l'album met en vedette Hutton, Chuck Negron et Cory Wells, chacun se partageant le chant, tout en étant soutenu par la section des cuivres de Chicago.

La fin de l'album avec "Celebrate" comprend également les cuivres de Chicago. "Celebrate" a été le troisième single extrait de "Suitable for Framing", chacun d'entre eux étant classé dans les vingt premiers.  Laura Nyro a composé "Eli's Comin", avec Wells au chant. "Lady Samantha" de Bernie Taupin et Elton John avec Negron au chant, tandis que Wells prend le chant sur "A Change Is Gonna Come" de Sam Cooke

 "Suitable for Framing" a ouvert la voie au succès massif de Three Dog Night au début des années 70,
