 Inspiré par The Band et JethroTull, Prudence propose une musique folk-prog-rock riche et ambitieuse. Le premier album sortit en 1972 est superbe. Le groupe combine des instruments acoustiques comme l’accordéon, la mandoline et la flûte avec les guitares électriques, la basse et les tambours.
