Le premier album se caractéristique par des reprises de chansons de Emitt Rhodes, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Jim & Jean, et une adaptation d'un poème de George Painter, ainsi que du matériel original du groupe.
C'est le seul album studio de Fairport Convention avec Judy Dyble. Au cours de sa courte durée avec le groupe, elle a réussi à faire une impression sensible, notamment grâce à son habitude de tricoter sur scène des foulards lorsqu'elle ne chantait pas.
