Piper était un groupe de heavy rock du milieu des années 70 , mettant en vedette Billy Squier et qui était son second groupe

Il a pris les meilleurs titres de son premier groupe ( Sidewinder ) pour les transposer sur ce premier album : "Who's Your Boyfriend," "Telephone Relation" et  "42nd Street."

Piper jouait dans le style de the Cars ou de Cheap Trick mais en plus hard "pop" et comme tous les membres du groupe chantent, cela donné au groupe un style distinctif
